Collection development librarians for years have relied on Choice reviews and the recommendations of Books for College Libraries in making decisions about acquisitions and weeding. Now, with Resources for College Libraries, both resources are available in a single package: a fully searchable database which offers the full text of Choice reviews for titles selected by RCL bibliographers as the most important resources for undergraduate teaching and research. In addition, RCL bibliographic records and search capability allow librarians to identify those titles in RCL which also appeared in Books for College Libraries, 3rd edition; books which have been identified by the Choice editorial staff as Outstanding Academic Titles; and books which have received one of the 125 individual book prizes and awards tracked by RCL.
