Primary Sort

 

RCLweb allows you to sort results using up to two sort criteria at one time.  The default sort for search results is always descending by publication date (that is, most recent works first), but you can reorder your search results according to one or two criteria, in either ascending (A to Z) or descending (Z to A) order.  Change to the drop-down menus and radio buttons and click the go button to resort your results.  

 

Your sort fields are:

  • Pub Date

  • Title

  • Author

  • Dewey #

  • LC Classification

  • ISBN

  • Price

  • Publisher

 

 

For example, if you wanted to sort the result by LC Classification (A to Z)  and then by pub date (newest to oldest), you would select:

  1. Primary Sort=LC Classification (ascending)

  2. Secondary Sort=Pub Date (descending)
